Sr. Dorothy Pagosa has launched a new social media blog Instruments of Peace.
As social justice director for the SSJ-TOSF, she will share information and thoughts about current justice issues and how they relate to Franciscanism and Catholic social teaching.
This month's conversation revolves around the national summer bus tour taken by American nuns to raise social justice awareness. In July, human trafficking was discussed in the context of the summer Olympics in London.
Sr. Dorothy hopes that others will join her in the discussions. "I love getting feedback," she said. "Disagreements are not discouraged, for it adds to the dialogue. Just remember to be civil in your responses."
Sr. Dorothy is one of four members of the SSJ-TOSF Central Board and has served in the social justice area for numerous years, many of them as a staff member at 8th Day Center for Justice in Chicago, Illinois.
Her monthly blog is available on this website under the Social Justice section.
