Join us in prayer this Sunday, April 29, on the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. We are invited to honor the vocations of all Christians given at baptism–marriage, priesthood, single life, consecrated life and diaconate. Let us remember all those who are discerning their life vocation as a Sister of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, including candidate Barb Knauf and Sisters Rosanna Hodlik and Judith Wood, who are preparing for final vows. May these women continue to be open to the voice of God who is working in their lives.
Feel free to contact the Vocation Office at (715) 341-8457 for vocation materials for your parish, church group or classroom. More information may be found here, on the SSJ-TOSF website, or at the USA Council of Serra International at serraus.org.
Prayer for Vocations (from serraus.org)
With grateful hearts we welcome the presence
of Jesus, our Good Shepherd.
We accept the mission of Jesus
to bring good news to the world
by our baptismal commitment to gospel living.
Bless us with discerning hearts.
May we have the courage to give our lives
in loving service through married life, the single life,
the consecrated life, and ordained life.
Inspire men and women to respond generously
and embrace the gift of a religious vocation.
We unite our prayers with the whole Church,
with the communion of saints, with Jesus and the Spirit
in praise and thanksgiving now and forever. Amen.
