Sister Rosie inducted into sports hall of fame

Sr. Rosemarie Morowczynski was inducted into the Girls' Catholic Athletic Conference Hall of Fame March 18 in Chicago.

She was honored for serving as a teacher, coach and fan of girls' athletics. As a teacher and administrator, Sr. Rosemarie coached, supported and attended countless athletic events. She also was recognized for her support of athletics at Lourdes High School and De La Salle Institute.

The event was held during the GCAC Annual Hall of Fame dinner.

Three Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis continue to serve at the former Lourdes High School, now the Lourdes Hall campus of De La Salle Institute, run by the Christian Brothers. The Institute is an all-boys' high school and the Lourdes Hall Campus is a girls' high school.
