Social Justice

"In keeping with our Mission Statement and Statement of Commitments, we, the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, work toward Social Justice which is the condition in which the structures of society enable persons individually and collectively to have what they need for human life and life with dignity."

The Central Office for Social Justice was established by the leadership of the Congregation to assist the membership in implementing social justice in keeping with congregation's commitment.

Sister Dorothy Pagosa, as director of Social Justice represents the Congregation regarding social justice externally and internally. Her work includes representing the Congregation on Issues of systemic change as a staff person at the 8th Day Center for Justice. You can e-mail Sister Dorothy at dpagosa@claret.org .
 

 


Social Justice contact persons work with members of the Social Justice Commission. Their responsibilities include guarding the vision of social justice in the Congregation and in the geographic are in which they minister.  They advise the Social Justice Director, and assist in keeping people informed of current social justice issues in our world.
