Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis.

What was heard as a call to share the Franciscan charism has evolved into the Franciscan Center. It is located in an eight-room wing of Marymount Congregational Home in Garfield Heights, Ohio. The Franciscan Center consists of a Gathering Room, Library, Prayer Room and offices that serve individuals or small groups. It is a new ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis.

"It is a sacred place for meeting the Christ of the Gospels and carrying the experience to others and a gathering place for faith-sharing, prayer, study and outreach from the feminine perspective of Franciscan life. It is a stopping place for those who travel as pilgrims on a journey with God; for those who long for ongoing conversion, reconciliation and peace; for those who hunger to be moved by God's spirit."

The Franciscan Center offers programs in Franciscan spirituality, a place of quiet for individual reflection, resources for the development of the Franciscan charism, celebration of Franciscan feasts, days or evenings of reflection, a library with emphasis on spirituality and Franciscanism, Scripture studies, spiritual direction, pastoral ministry and prayer gatherings.

The Franciscan Center is co-directed by Sister Francis Therese Woznicki and Sister Jean Ehasz. An extended staff, committed to promoting the charism and spirituality of Francis and Clare of Assisi, is also involved in the ministry of the Franciscan Center.
