The Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis (SSJ-TOSF) are a community of over 300 Franciscan women who are dedicated to Gospel living. As St. Francis stated, "Preach the Gospel always, and use words only if you must." In the spirit of Jesus and Francis, we seek to serve the minores - the little ones who often fall through the cracks in society - through a variety of ministries. Our Franciscan charism calls us to reach out to all members of the human family and, in a special way, to the poor and the outcast. The missioned presence of the Congregation continues today in 14 states and 3 locations off the mainland.
